This canyon was fully described in the Canyoning in NZ guidebook.
However, a massive landslide sometime during the 2015 winter has completely obliterated the middle section of this canyon.
The result is a huge, unstable looking rock pile, which can be seen from the road bridge.
It is strongly reccomended NOT to attempt this canyon.
Found out the hard way, check for updates online before doing the canyons.
Made it through fine, First abseil in tact, but yeah, couldn’t find any more anchors.
down climbed the rest of the way ok.
