Float trip

Thanks to David Ryan for the following information:

(From Banks Creek confluence to Butchers Flat). Medium volume float trip. Same style as the Waka from Doom Ck to Butchers. Tubes a good idea. Numerous swims and jumps (some can be quite big). Note; if not tubing, good wetsuits needed – lots of time in the always very cold water. Worthwhile, great beginner trip.

(Put in: when walking along Wakamarina Valley track, a little before getting close to opposite Banks Creek, look out for a minor track branching off down to the river. At that track junction look for a small old white tin track marker with ‘Banks Creek’ etched into it.
