This canyon would have been great before the massive land-slides that has destroyed the top section. Canyon starts only roughly 180m above where it finishes, but there is still some canyoning to do. Team of 5 visited this canyon in Early Feb and then spent the rest of the afternoon feeding the local sandfly population. Pretty spectacular Fiord!

Boat access on Lake Manapouri up to the Awe Burn from Manapouri operated by fiordland outdoors.

From the Aweburn, climb to roughly 500m on true right, sticking relatively close to the rim. May need a rope to get in. Roughly 10 abseils at low flow, with the middle to lower section being the highlight.
